County websites checked November 2026. Rates change, usually each October. The City of Tampa runs its own disposal system, and private facilities set their own rates, so a Tampa load may cost a different amount. Loads from outside a county can cost more.

Why weight matters

Same size load, very different weight

Haulers usually price by how much truck space you use, but the dump charges by the ton. A quarter truck of old furniture and a quarter truck of broken tile take up the same space, and the tile can weigh several times more.

That's why construction debris removal usually costs more than regular junk removal.

MaterialPounds per cubic yard
Household junk150–300 (planning estimate)
Mixed construction debris400–500
Drywall scrap400–700
Tile and concrete1,400–1,855

Loose material. Real weights vary. Debris figures come from published construction waste conversion tables.
